The Problem

Our client runs professional sports evaluation services for organizations across North America. Their previous process relied on manual tools that couldn’t handle the complexity of multi-session, multi-sport evaluations at scale. They needed a purpose-built platform that could manage the full evaluation lifecycle — from camp configuration and participant setup through to final team placement — without the administrative burden and margin for error that manual processes create.

What We Built

A multi-sport, multi-session evaluation platform built as a SaaS application serving multiple sports organizations simultaneously. The platform manages the complete tryout workflow — scheduling evaluation sessions, assigning evaluators, capturing real-time scores, applying weighted algorithms across sessions, and generating final tiered team placements automatically.

Evaluations are conducted anonymously — evaluators see only jersey numbers and colours, eliminating bias and political influence from the scoring process. As sessions progress, the platform applies configurable weighting algorithms that account for player movement and session-to-session progression, ensuring final placements reflect cumulative performance rather than any single session.

AI-Powered Player Insights

We integrated artificial intelligence into the platform to generate unique player insights and performance reports. Rather than raw score outputs, the platform produces AI-generated narratives for each athlete — giving organizations, coaches, and parents meaningful, readable analysis of player performance across evaluation sessions. This transforms raw evaluation data into actionable intelligence that supports better team composition decisions and athlete development conversations.

Key Outcomes
